1) How do I prepare for an online appointment?
2) I am interested in homeopathy but I can't pay that much. Do you have low-income rates?
- Ensure you have a computer with a good internet connection, a microphone and speakers (or headphones with mic), a video camera (usually built into the computer) so that we can see each other. Once you have scheduled your consultation I will email you with a ZOOM link (free, no installation required) before the appointment and contact you at the scheduled time.
- A private location indoors where family and friends aren't going to overhear the conversation (very important)! The room you are in should be private, so that we can speak freely without being overheard by friends and family. This is essential to finding a great homeopathic remedy.
- Please advise me before the consultation if any of these requirements will be missing.
2) I am interested in homeopathy but I can't pay that much. Do you have low-income rates?
- If you would really like to try homeopathy but do not have the funds to pay the full price then I would be happy to help you out. I offer partial payment + partial exchange. So you pay a portion of the price and exchange the remaining portion in goods or hours worked. This is worked out on a case by case basis, so please send me and email if you'd like to take advantage of this option! Use the contact form here.

15) Is there scientific proof that homeopathy actually works?
- The homeopathic consultation in itself is healing.
- Clients report having new insights of the real roots of their suffering during the sessions. Many of whom have already done years of self-work and therapy. It opens a new door to health and healing.
- We look at you as a whole, so we explore your experience through your eyes, as well as the totality of your symptoms and your history. We look into stressful areas and what motivates you. Then I find a homeopathic remedy that address this whole so that it can instigate healing at the deepest level. When what is internal comes into balance the physical symptoms bother us less.
- We look into what moves you to be who you are and act how you do.
- Some homeopaths are very good at soliciting many facts and looking up rubrics, this is not my specialty. I explore your depths with you and find a remedy that corresponds to the dynamic movement within which you find yourself, to release you from the source of suffering and promote freedom within yourself.
- In a nutshell, yes, homeopathy gets to the root, in fact it gets to the central disturbance of all the health or mood issues that are happening in that person. It is a root central to all these issues, and this root is unique to each individual! Getting to that root dynamic is exactly what we do in homeopathy.
From what I understand, you are noticing that something is a bit off. You gave an example to suggest that your susceptibility has been triggered. Putting into motion this root dynamic - in homeopathic philosophy, this is the beginning of a disease process. And in homeopathic treatment, we find a remedy that redirects this process into a healing process! Cutting out items in the diet, for example, could be supportive, but homeopathy goes right to the root, in that we heal what is making those food items aggravating in the first place.
5) I'd like to try homeopathy, but this would be quite an investment for me. Is it really worth the cost?
- As for money, I have a bit of a price breakdown in my refund policy at the bottom of the rates page. Working with a homeopath is different than going to see a chiropractor or massage therapist for example. Those specialists work with their patients for the hour they are with them, but homeopaths work on the clients case outside of the appointment as well. Many clients report having insights and realizations into themselves and the source of what is going on during the appointment and then the homeopath works outside of the appointment synthesizing what is learned at the appointment and intake form to find a similimum remedy. So the price pays for the session, the remedy, and includes the exact remedy sent to you in the mail.
We don't always get a good remedy the first try and the homeopathic session is so different than any other session (psychology, counseling, naturopathic, herbalist, etc) that I put my sessions into packs of at least three, this also ensures good follow-up so that we can adjust the homeopathic treatment if necessary.
On the side of the client, basically you just have to be willing to get to the root of what is going on whether it is something more severe like depression or something more light like just noticing that one is triggered more easily than usual. We talk together for an hour and then I send you a remedy in the mail to take once. And that's it, the healing begins, things get back into balance, you have more energy, life flows more easily again, things are more positive, and you are more resistant to illness or food sensitivities.
6) What methods of payment do you accept?
- Payment is accepted by Paypal, E-Transfer or in-person.
7) Do you give insurance receipts?
- Yes! Homeopathic and Naturopathic.
- Naturopathic insurance receipts for residents of Quebec only. I am a member of the ANPQ: Association des Naturopathes Professionnels du Quebec.
- Homeopathic receipts for everyone. I am a member of the SPHQ: Syndicat Professionnel des Homéopathes du Québec.
8) Do I have to stop my prescription medications?
- No. Please continue your medications as prescribed.
- Any change in your medication is to be discussed with your Medical Doctor. Homeopathy is complimentary to conventional medicine and may help decrease side effects of medications. It is recommended to check in regularly with your Medical Doctor while receiving homeopathic treatments.
9) How long does homeopathic treatment take?
- This is completely individual, but I do suggest that people who are new to homeopathy or new to working with me do three sessions in order to get an idea of the process. Sometimes this is enough to address what you are looking to be addressed and sometimes it is the beginning of a lifelong healing journey. You can explore the package options that I offer here.
10) What happens during the homeopathic consultation?
- Each session lasts approximately one hour and is conducted by an internet platform (Zoom) or in person.
- You will arrive with the health concern you would like addressed and I will prompt you with questions specific to you and your situation.
- It is a one-on-one appointment (one homeopath and one client speaking together).
- No preparation for the appointment is necessary on the part of the client.
- A non-judgmental safe space to express yourself to someone who is trained in exactly that. I don't give (unwanted) advice! I just listen to understand and choose an appropriate remedy to support your evolution.
11) How is the homeopathic profession defined?
- Homeopathy is not Naturopathy,
- Homeopathy.
12) Aren't homeopathic remedies just placebos?
- No. Homeopathic remedies are produced using specific preparation methods in regulated laboratories supervised by pharmacists and Health Canada.
- The wrong remedy won't help. Homeopathic remedies found on pharmacy shelves are often misused from lack of education.
- Babies, plants and animals respond amazingly well to homeopathic remedies.
- The placebo effect itself is pretty cool though : http://www.egoalchemy.com/scientific-research/the-power-of-placebo/
13) Is homeopathy safe during pregnancy?
- Well indicated homeopathic remedies are safe during pregnancy. Well indicated means that the homeopathic remedy matches the totality of symptoms (classical, unicist homeopathy). If you are unsure of what this means it is preferable to see a homeopath who will choose the best remedy based on a very thorough interview.
- There are no molecules of the original substance in the homeopathic granules and drops so there is no material interaction between the body and the homeopathic remedy. For example, the homeopathic remedy Arsenicum Album 30CH is prepared starting with a drop of arsenic, but the 30CH has been diluted and successed past Avagadro's number, so no molecules remain in the homeopathic remedy. This means no interactions with other medications either. There are possibly nanoparticules, this is being researched.
- I strongly recommend against taking over the counter homeopathic preparations intended to treat specific ailments unless under the guidance of a professional homeopath or pharmacist. I have heard of two instances of high blood pressure during 3rd trimester being linked to taking homeopathic remedies for allergies, possibly Histaminum. This is because the homeopathic remedy histaminum, was not used in a homeopathic way, but instead in an isopathic way, based on part of the picture, not the totality.
- Listen to your body, if something doesn't agree with you, don't take it again. :)
14) What happens if I get sick in between sessions, can I contact you?
- If it is a health emergency please contact your doctor or go directly to the hospital.
- After you have taken appropriate medical measure, yes, I'd be happy to advise you in case there is an appropriate homeopathic response. Please email me with details of your state.
15) Is there scientific proof that homeopathy actually works?
- Yes.
- Please see the website of the Homeopathic Research Institute.
